Dass an dem Intelligent Music Project III eine Reihe von Musikern aus dem Toto-Umfeld beteiligt ist, ist kaum zu überhören. Mal ist es der Gesang („Opening“), mal das Piano („Stay up“), mal erinnert man eher melodisch soft („A Smile away“), mal rockig („Dream“) an die AOR-Legende.

Aber auch schwächere Alan Parsons („Simply feels good“) oder Joe Cocker („Fate”) hinterlassen Spuren im Intelligent Music Project. Bei dem rock’n’rolligen „Roots“ lassen dann die Fifties kräftig grüßen.

Die großen Vorbilder haben schon deutlich schwächere Alben abgeliefert. Empfehlung!
