METAL CHURCH - Sie kommen - ab in die Kirche
METAL CHURCH touren durch Europa und kurz vor der Tour wird der nächste Studio-Longplayer von METAL CHURCH dann veröffentlicht. Das Werk mit dem Titel A Light In The Dark erscheint am 26. Mai und enthält neben furiosen, mitreißenden Tracks auch eine neue Version ihres Klassikers "Watch The Children Pray" - ein Tribut an ihren im Mai 2005 verstorben Leadvokalisten David Wayne.
Gitarrist Kurdt Vanderhoof, der die Studioaufnahmen gleichzeitig als Sound Engineer und Producer in die Hand nahm, verspricht seinen Fans ein Album, das einmal mehr alle Markenzeichen der typischen METAL CHURCH-Songs miteinander vereint. Er will den Zeitgeist der Longplayer Metal Church (1984) und The Dark (1986) in Verbindung mit neuen musikalischen Horizonten wieder aufleben lassen.
Kurdt dazu: "It's almost twenty years ago that we shook up the international metal scene for the first time with these two recordings. Just the right moment to bring that era to mind with a brand-new album and the same sort of energy that we had back then."
Seit dem vergangenen Wochenende liegen auch erstmals Arbeitstitel von Songs des neuen Albums A Light In The Dark vor: "More Than Your Master", "Disappear" und "Mirror Of Lies".
"There will also be an epic song which is about 9 1/2 minutes long but is yet untitled. We will be adding a bonus track which is a re-recording of 'Watch The Children Pray', which will be dedicated to the late David Wayne," verrät Kurdt vorab. "This album will represent a new beginning for Metal Church. With the addition of Jeff Plate this band will be drawing from traditional Heavy Metal but with an eye on a new horizons. That is also what we want the title of the album to reflect. This album will be in an old school metal vein as with all MC albums. Melody and Power are key for this band."
