Neues Album von Steve Von Till (Neurosis) im Anmarsch
|
Am 8. Mai wird der von von den Postmetal-Pionieren Neurosis bekannte Steve Von Till sein neues Soloalbum veröffentlichten. Es trägt den Namen A Life Unto Itself und auch hier schlägt er wie sein Bandkollege Scott Kelly wieder ruhigere Töne an. Wie schon beim 2008 veröffentlichten Vorgänger A Grave Is a Grim Horse (s. Reviewarchiv) paaren sich hier Slidegitarren sowie Americana, Folk- und Country-Elemente mit der rauen Stimme des Sängers. Unterstützung erhielt Von Till von Viola-Spieler Eyvind Kang, Pedal-Steel-Musikant J. Kardong und Perkussionist Pat Schowe. Produziert wurde das Album unter der Ägide von Randall Dunn.
